The Director of Product (Media) will play a critical role within the Advertising Solutions organization, focused on defining and executing our Platform's owned and operated media vision and portfolio. This person will be responsible for creating compelling consumer experiences that can also be monetized at scale. You will also be the expert on strategically managing and operationalizing our media portfolio, understanding the technology market and competitive set and how we can best play in the ecosystem. You’ll collaborate with our ecosystem business owners, our data & platform product team, business development, sales, sales enablement, product marketing, sales, and customer success to execute the media product portfolio vision to launch a world-class platform for marketers. You'll work directly with vendor partners as well as our own Engineering, Data Science and UX/UI teams to design and develop an Industry-leading portfolio of media offerings for the T-Mobile Advertising Solution Platform.
We are seeking a strategic thinker to help define our media product strategy and identity, highlight and demonstrate how our team is dedicated to building premium connections for brands and consumers. The right candidate is a seasoned marketer, effective communicator who has a passion for advertising technology and possesses an innate ability to distill complex ideas into tangible, easily understood concepts that resonate with brands and agencies. A day in the life:
Develop a thorough understanding and perspective on our products, customers, competition, and market/industry trends. Work with Product Marketing Manager to identify market opportunities and articulate customer pain points
Manages the product strategy, roadmap for owned and operated media products, data and analytics research, vendor analyses and selection, ROI analysis / funding, including identification and remediation of possible gaps.
Works collaboratively with peers in Software Engineering, Data Science, Architecture, UX etc. to apply Lean principles. Work with Internal cross-functional teams as well to launch products seamlessly and smoothly
Regularly provides review and guidance to team on execution related responsibilities. This includes:
Product Backlog and prioritization.
Participation in Agile process and tasks (e.g., planning, grooming, etc.).
Client-facing design reviews and demos.
Customer and Leadership level communications.
Hire, manage, and develop a team of high performing managers and individual contributors.
What we’re looking for:
BA/BS degree with 10-12 years of digital marketing or SaaS experience, ideally in an advertising-supported business
Extensive ad tech experience with a strong focus on sell-side platform, mobile publisher monetization, SDK/APK development
Proven track record of working closely with Product and Engineering teams, UX/UI and Data science as well
Experience working with vendors and partners to build products and features to be integrated into our own product suite
4-7 years of experience managing teams of 5 or more
Experience and familiarity with Agile development methodology and tools
