This position will support the mission of Loyola Marymount University by executing and influencing digital fundraising strategies that sustain and grow the philanthropic base of support for the University. The position oversees comprehensive digital philanthropy for the campus community and will operate as an industry thought-leader in trends and best practices. This role will champion digital based projects and take pride in timely, efficient, project execution. Key projects will include supporting online, email, text and mobile strategies for Giving Day and Crowdfunding initiatives. This position will provide critical support to fellow team members allowing them to leverage digital communication and data driven decisions.

POSITION SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Position executes digital marketing solutions for an Annual and Leadership Giving operation that exceeds $8 million in annual fundraising revenue. The Assistant Director manages digital-based solutions to promote and enhance constituent giving to Loyola Marymount University. To include but not limited to Online/Web Solutions, Social Media, Email, Digital Advertising, Mobile, and Text/SMS (30%)
Operates as the project manager for digital-based fundraising marketing campaigns for the office of Annual and Leadership Giving. Responsibilities include but not limited to: a leadership role for Giving Day and Crowdfunding campaigns, the coordination of multi segment email marketing campaigns, accountability regarding project deadlines, communicating effectively with team members and co-workers, and monitoring the creation of digital assets. (40%)
Develop and execute strategies to promote digital engagement with LMU Alumni, Parents, and Friends. Responsibilities include but not limited to: implement industry best practices, use results to make ongoing data driven decisions, and operate as an excellent partner to external vendors and partners (10%)
Act as a facilitator and subject matter expert with leveraging social media and digital communication to empower gift officers better connect with prospects (10%)

Typically a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Incumbent will be expected to continue upgrading knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to keep abreast of regulation/policy changes.
Minimum 3 years nonprofit fundraising and/or direct marketing experience, in progressively responsible positions, preferably in a higher education setting. Experience deploying creative content through online, audio/visual tools, email marketing tools. Experience using large data sets to inform marketing and fundraising strategy.
Exemplary communication (both written and oral), project management and organization skills.
Demonstrated computer competency. Familiarity with current industry-standard design and production software, social media platforms, email marketing tools, constituent databases, and crowdfunding and other web-based fundraising platforms.
