The Center for Executive and Continuing Professional Education (ECPE) provides executive education and continuing education courses that encourage leadership development and provide the knowledge and skills that students need to improve organizational performance. Our portfolio of executive education programs and continuing education courses cover topics including leadership, management, research improvement and innovation, public health education, environmental health and safety, nutrition, health policy, and organizational strategy.
Reporting to the Senior Manager for Strategic Markets, the Manager of Marketing Strategy and Enrollment is a savvy and experienced marketing expert who will define and oversee the integrated long-term and short-term marketing strategy for open enrollment programs, custom programs, and the ECPE brand.
The successful candidate is an experienced professional, who will supervise and mentor the Digital Marketing and Design Specialist, the Marketing and Communications Specialist, and the Customer Relationship Coordinator.
This individual will have a deep understanding of marketing analytics, digital marketing, content marketing, social media platforms, and an eye for overseeing graphic design and branding. They will oversee all print marketing, including brochures and mailings. The Manager of Marketing Strategy and Enrollment is accountable for upholding quality, deadlines, and budget parameters for all marketing and enrollment efforts.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Develop and execute marketing plans and strategy for open enrollment programs, ECPE brand, custom programs, and cross-school programs
Manage production of high quality digital and print marketing materials
Develop strategy for, manage production of, and write all marketing content, inclusive of the website, brochures, marketing emails and social media
Oversee digital advertising and marketing strategy, inclusive of organic and paid social media, Google Ads, and lead nurturing
Oversee graphic design and all department branding, including templates and monitoring Harvard Use of Name regulations
Oversee print and direct mail strategy, including development of brochures and other print collateral and targeted mailing lists
Develop, deliver, and expand marketing reporting and analytics for ECPE marketing efforts, including setting KPIs, performing detailed analyses, and presenting valuable information to senior management
Manage direct mail strategy and execution
Manage and oversee, including day-to-day compliance, of full ECPE marketing budget
Manage content marketing program, including overseeing writers, idea creation, proofreading, and promotion
Manage enrollment function for open enrollment, inclusive of customer service communication and conversion marketing
Directly supervise the Digital Marketing and Design Specialist, the Marketing and Communications Specialist, and the Customer Relationship Coordinator
Communicate with and provide guidance to faculty regarding promoting courses across their networks and thrid party relationships
Manage all outside marketing vendors and related strategies, including designers, mail house, videographers, and writers
Represent marketing team university-wide, including liaising with other Harvard departments to research best practices and gain more visibility for ECPE
Performs other duties as necessary

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field, or equivalent experience is required
5+ years of relevant marketing and communications experience is required
The following job-specific skills and competencies are preferred:
Supervisory experience is strongly preferred
Experience in designing, implementing and measuring marketing and recruitment activities in a variety of channels
Excellent written (including proofreading & editing), verbal and interpersonal communication skills; building productive & positive relationships across departments
Experience managing and executing sophisticated digital marketing campaigns Experience with Social Media, Salesforce CRM and HubSpot/Pardot
Experience with marketing analytics tools such as Google Analytics
Experience managing graphic design is a plus
Experience working within budget parameters, with multiple groups and deadlines
