MLA has been exclusively retained to assist The Trade Desk in finding its next VP, Chief Privacy Counsel.
The winning candidate will have at least 10 years of relevant legal experience, including time spent at a top law firm and in-house, experience with a large, reputable technology company, familiarity and prior experience with a wide variety of international, federal, and state laws and regulations related to data and consumer privacy, including but not limited to CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act), VPPA (Video Privacy Protection Act), GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), PRC Cybersecurity Law, COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act), and OPPA (Online Privacy Protection Act). Experience managing a lean team of attorneys and privacy professionals is required. Prior experience supporting advertising technology companies, either in-house or in private practice is preferred.
This person will sit in Los Angeles, CA (preferred) or Ventura, CA or New York, NY.

It also partners with Disney. The Trade Desk also recently launched a media campaign positioning itself as a more transparent digital advertising alternative to Google and Facebook in September 2019.
