The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) is a member supported organization that empowers the media and marketing industries to thrive in the digital economy. Our membership is comprised of more than 650 leading media and technology companies that are responsible for selling, delivering, and optimizing digital advertising or marketing campaigns.
As an intern with the IAB you will have exposure to some of the most important issues facing the industry today and the thought leadership initiatives designed to solve for those issues. You will learn how our organization functions and how we manage a large amount data that allows us to serve our members. Our intern program provides weekly learning sessions developed around key topics each department is working on and an opportunity to participate in industry events hosted by the IAB. We expect you to bring a fresh approach and have input on business objectives and strategies. Networking is large part of what we do so you will be given the opportunity to meet employees throughout the organization as well as interns from other programs to exchange ideas, learning experiences and the insight you have gained into the digital economy and how it functions.
Under the direction of the Sr. Director of Learning & Development and the Instructional Designer, helps design and produce various learning and development content, including instructional handouts and guidebooks, presentation decks, animated graphics to be used in e-learning videos, and other learning and development collateral as a member of the in-house training development team.
The position begins June 10th and ends August 16th. Interns are expected to work approximately 40 hours a week and will be paid $15/hour.
Duties and Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
Collaborates with Learning team to plan, analyze, organize and execute assigned projects.
Design various instructional handouts and guidebooks, presentation decks, graphics (including animated graphics) to be used in e-learning videos, and other learning and development collateral in collaboration with the team Instructional Designer
Use visual thinking to develop new visual learning strategies for IAB training courses and materials.
Ensure graphic quality is consistent and maintained throughout concepts and projects
Requirements and Qualifications:
Must know how to work in print and web design capabilities and have knowledge of layout, graphic fundamentals, and typography;
Microsoft product knowledge – especially PowerPoint and Word – is highly preferred;
Adobe product knowledge is strongly preferred - Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat Pro highly relevant; Animate and Premiere Pro very relevant;
Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organizational communications skills and be able to effectively communicate verbally and in-writing; and
Must show excellent time management and organization skills and be able to work collaboratively as part of a team in the execution of production deadlines.
