The American Trucking Associations (ATA), the nation’s leading trade and lobby association representing the trucking industry, has an immediate opening for a Director of Business Development.
The incumbent in this role will be responsible for strategic direction and performance of ATA and its council’s non-dues revenue programs. This position works closely with the Vice President of Sales and Marketing. If you are a great communicator, problem-solver, and team player we would like to speak with you!
The incumbent will help drive business expansion through the identification of new business opportunities for ATA sponsorships and partnerships. This position lends excellent opportunity to lead a small team of an Inside Sales & Marketing Manager and an Account Manager. The Director of Business Development will work hand-in-hand with the Vice President, Sales & Marketing and the Vice President, Business Development & Membership Sales to identify and nurture new relationships with qualified targets.
Required Education: BS/BA Degree in Business Administration, marketing, sales or related field plus minimum 5 years of sales and/or marketing experience with a proven record of meeting or exceeding goals required. Experience in events and sponsorships as well as working with contracts desired but not a requirement. Prior experience in Sales Management preferred but not required.
