The Manager, Events Operations is responsible for the management of a portfolio of small events at the Interactive Advertising Bureau, Inc (IAB).
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Main point of contact for IAB events space, event space partners and local IAB approved restaurants.
Responsible for AdLab room set up, Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), Audio Visual (A/V) requirements, food and beverage, signage, staffing, distribution of materials, etc.
Create events planning playbook that includes aspects of IAB event production for the organization.
Manage IAB internal space scheduling.
Establish room set up, catering, A/V, etc. standards as well as a set of IAB-approved restaurants so that meeting and small event activation can be delegated to applicable departments.
Source vendors and caterers, and negotiate to ensure the best financial deal for IAB as well as manage relationships with all relevant vendors.
Produce specific events as required; this includes but is not limited to room set up, BEOs, creating Run of Show (ROS), scheduling and running rehearsals, working with AV tech, etc.
Obtain correct approval and billing information for all expense related activity to include food and beverage, equipment rentals, etc. for events that are being produced and also manage the billing & financial reconciliation as needed.
Manage AdLab rental requests, including site visits, and create and negotiate rental contracts.
Communicate with internal & external clients before, during and after their events in a timely manner.
Provide updated reports to Events department management.
Assist with offsite events – venue sourcing, event planning and onsite execution as needed.
Assist with major IAB events including conferences, market places and other events onsite execution as needed.

Strong computer skills and knowledge of basic event audio-visual equipment
Punctual, dependable and dedicated to achieving operational excellence, down to the smallest of details
Four years of conference planning experience in a conference center or corporate environment
