The Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) is seeking an experienced manager to develop and execute marketing strategy to support AWHONN’s education product outreach.
AWHONN is a nonprofit membership organization that promotes the health of women and newborns. Our mission is to improve and promote the health of women and newborns and to strengthen the nursing profession through the delivery of superior advocacy, research, education and other professional and clinical resources to nurses and other health care professionals.
Duties and Responsibilities: •Represent customer perspective in development and execution of marketing plans. •Use targeted, multichannel communications to create awareness and increase revenue in educational product lines. •Perform ongoing critical analysis of marketing engagement metrics, including digital advertising, web and email, to identify and leverage customer trends and behaviors, and provide regular reports on ROI. •Write and edit marketing copy and collaborate with graphic design team for campaign execution. •Develop, place and analyze digital marketing tactics in support of marketing campaigns. •Drive brand visibility in key markets and collaborate with AWHONN staff to conduct periodic gap analyses to maximize marketing efforts. •Identify customer needs and make recommendations on new product development. •Create and manage website content to include key words, SEO, analysis and direction. •Manage implementation of website updates such as landing pages, banner ads and content marketing to support marketing campaigns. •Develop, implement and improve on marketing operations processes to continually improve efficiency and effectiveness of department. •Create customer behavior profiles and engagement funnels to ensure alignment with marketing and customer decision making milestones. •Collaborate with AWHONN team members to integrate outreach where appropriate and relevant. •Responsible for supporting staff or volunteers exhibiting at designated events and, when necessary, staffing the booth.
Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication or equivalent. Demonstrated creative writing and editing skills. At least 3-5 years of related experience working in a marketing environment, particularly at an individual membership association. Demonstrated ability to achieve goals and improve ROI. Comfortable with website editing programs and creating and posting content on websites. Creative thinker, willing to take risks, finds new ways to accomplish tasks and think in nontraditional ways about membership acquisition and retention. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and establish and maintain effective lines of communications with colleagues, consultants/vendors, members and volunteers. Demonstrated ability to remain flexible, manage multiple priorities and stay highly organized especially with high volume, numerous details and often under tight deadlines . Outstanding organizational skills. Continually motivated to succeed and improve. Advanced computer skills to include advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), knowledge of SEO and basics of PhotoShop extremely helpful.
