Air Force Association is seeking a dynamic, highly-effective professional to join the Corporate Relations team in support of Corporate Membership, exhibits for 2 major annual events and Association sponsorship activities. The incumbent will work closely with the Director, Corporate Relations (CR), and assists with maintenance and growth of a variety of corporate programs and events.
This is a very tactical position with program manager components and the ideal candidate will be able to successfully balance competing priorities and will function well in a high-performance culture. CR program areas include Corporate Membership, sponsorships, exhibit sales for 2 annual shows, and print and digital advertising. The position is responsible for managing day-to-day interactions with contractors and vendors as well as all aspects of exhibit and sponsorship fulfillments; administering of exhibitor and sponsor ranking point system for booth selection and sponsorship star recognition levels; prospecting, lead generation and relationship development activities as well as retention and renewal activities to achieve revenue goals; maintaining client and prospect lists and reports in Salesforce CRM system; providing thorough, accurate, and timely responses to all stakeholder requests for information; handling design and ordering all conference signage; managing conference materials shipment, show move in/out, coordinating with show management vendor, design of AFA booth, registration desk, and exhibit hall entrance, and serving as on-site show management on behalf of AFA; supporting digital and print ad presence and partners with advertising vendor at the tactical level; providing CR department logistical support to include invoicing, updating company rosters, renewal notifications, preparing sales/marketing reports, etc.; and maintaining and updating all AFA web pages that contain CR products. Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or equivalent experience
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar environment; non-profit/association event experience preferred
Knowledge of conferences and events (CEM credential preferred)
At least 2 years of experience in sales, specifically B2B or institutional fundraising
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Knowledge of association databases desired (Salesforce)
Website editing a plus
