The Senior Accountant will report into the Senior Manager, Accounting & Financial Reporting and serves as a unique opportunity to gain exposure to the Corporate Controller and Finance Senior Leadership Team as well as interface daily with key organizational executives including but not limited to the Extended Catalina Leadership Team and Human Resources. He/she will be a part of a high- performing team and will be expected to lead, take ownership of his/her areas of responsibility and ensure accurate and timely completion of company reporting requirements. The ideal candidate is one who collaborates across multiple functions, explores and embraces opportunities for doing things in new ways and initiates, and/or supports improvements in work processes to increase efficiency.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Efficiently and accurately close the books for the Domestic entities including preparation of journal entries and supporting schedules.
Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP reporting.
Prepare variance analysis for monthly trial balance review meetings and actual vs forecast meetings.
Assist in preparation of external audit requests which includes income statement and balance sheet variance analysis and other schedules to support audit procedures.
Responsible for reviewing contracts to determine accounting implications based on provisions in the contracts.
Assist all levels of management with month-end questions relating to financial performance.
Critically review current accounting and reporting processes to identify ways to create additional efficiencies and automate.
Develop and maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of company accounting policies, financial systems, transaction processes, internal controls and chart of accounts.
Research technical accounting topics and document/report conclusion to individuals within the organization.
Maintain data integrity in the financial systems to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Maintain and ensure ongoing compliance with accounting policies and procedures and SOX internal control documentation.
Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience providing mentoring and coaching.
Perform ad hoc analysis or special projects.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
BS or BA degree in Accounting.
A minimum of 4 years accounting experience required.
Demonstrated expertise in US GAAP required.
Strong IT skills and exposure to ERP systems required.
Experience with identifying and making improvements to operational processes to generate efficiencies through use of systems and removal of manual touch points.
Exhibits strong leadership within the role, is an active owner in development, and is accountable to being part of a high performing team.
Strong interpersonal skills, able to work and interact well with others, able to develop and maintain positive working relationships.
Excellent critical thinking as well as analytical skills.
Adept at prioritization and understanding sense of urgency.
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED SKILLS
Public accounting experience.
Prior experience with Workday and Hyperion.
Multinational company experience.
Familiarity with digital advertising landscape.
