<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;"><strong>POSITION:</strong> Full-time, 12-month position</span></span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;"><strong>JOB SUMMARY</strong>: The admissions counselor is responsible for metropolitan student recruitment, territory planning, virtual outreach activities, marketing and internal relations, programmatic communications and marketing planning, implementation, content creation and project management. This position will work to identify, recruit, and enroll qualified high school students, transfer students, and working professionals from a specified geographic region. This individual will engage in and collect student data from prospect to enrollment to ensure timely documentation of student information using a constituent relationship management portal, Salesforce, University systems, and digital media. The position will take on special projects within the office and collaborate with other departments across campus regarding both on and off campus constituents.<br /><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES: </strong>Recruiting, counseling students (on site and online) through the college search funnel; from prospect to enrolled student. Strategize, plan and execute territory marketing and recruiting activities; represent the campus at a variety of on and off campus events with the intent of recruiting students to attend the U of M Crookston; manage an assigned audience; create and implement digital campus events for students including but not limited to webinars, live chat sessions, and virtual visits. Serve as a UMC contact for the regional high schools and community colleges, coordinate recruitment activities with other/departmental areas across the campus; creates, implements, analyzes, and evaluates programs and events to advertise, promote degrees; on campus and online (55%). Identifies and initiates the development of materials to promote and reinforce the strategic communication plan. Plans, directs, implements and evaluates promotion, top of mind awareness, digital advertising, student engagement campaigns using mobile devices while identifying promotional or advertising opportunities, analyzes existing markets; coordinates and monitors the use of the U of M brand. Incorporates both written and graphic work, utilizing multiple media methods, strategic purchasing. Analyzes web usage to identify trends in for new media communication tools and social media and other duties as assigned by the supervisor (45%). Travel is required.</span></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;"><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: </strong>Requires BA/BS degree in Marketing, Public Relations or related field plus two years of professional experience; ability to travel and work occasional weeknight and weekends; able to read, write, and understand English; and possess valid driver’s license and access to reliable vehicle for off-campus travel. Final offer contingent on successful background check and receipt of official transcripts.</span></span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;"><strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: </strong>Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, student development or related field. Excellent verbal and written communication, customer service, project management, organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle stressful situations in a positive manner and evidence of experience in a team environment; experience working in a University environment; demonstrated excellence in collaboration and results driven outcomes; and ability to function effectively in a complex organizational environment with the ability to successfully relate and interact with diverse groups of people.</span></span></p>
