The American Angus Association is seeking candidates for a Digital Specialist for Angus Productions Inc. (API) in its St. Joseph, MO office. API publishes the Angus Journal, the Angus Beef Bulletin, the Angus Beef Bulletin EXTRA, and the AJ Daily; and provides information through topic and meeting coverage sites and social media, as well as assisting in the communications and public relations function of the American Angus Association. The Digital Specialist will focus on digital initiatives across multiple channels including the flagship website, paid social media, email marketing, and digital advertising. We are looking for a driven digital specialist who will assist in leading strategic business to business and business to consumer digital marketing initiatives, provide asset management direction and governance, as well as help with day-to-day operations.
Manage a variety of digital campaigns, projects and programs from inception to completion, including definition of project scope, steps to delivery and project budget.
Collaborate with internal customers and partners (IT, communications, content editors, marketing, sales, etc.) to gather content for the web site and business requirements for a variety of projects published via digital marketing channels (social media, email campaigns, web site, etc.)
Design and execute integrated digital marketing campaigns (utilizing Angus Media channels) to support marketing initiatives
Conduct analysis of data from tools to determine optimization opportunities and develop performance dashboard
Develop strategy and governance model for asset management
Manage digital tools and accounts
Collaborate with the Communications Department in strategizing and optimizing the Angus brand social media channels
Administer day-to-day operations of Angus.org, including:
Maintain and optimize Angus Media for profit content on Angus.org
Govern, upload and manage assets using DAM
Optimize content for reach
Create and edit digital assets for use
Develop and maintain a communication plan for sharing the performance of digital marketing initiatives with internal customers on a regularly scheduled basis
Demonstrated experience working in an enterprise level web site using content management systems and digital asset management tools
Sound experience in developing and launching digital projects and properties (design, QA testing, etc.)
Knowledge of digital marketing concepts such as search engine optimization, user experience and usability, mobile optimization, etc.
Strong attention to detail
Passion for continuous learning and keeping up with evolving digital trends
Strong problem resolution and decision-making skills and be able to resolve elevated issues, be creative and resourceful and display sound judgment and demonstrate accountability
Must be self-motivated; able to work both independently to complete tasks and respond to department requests, as well as collaborating with others to utilize resources and knowledge of others in identifying quality solutions.

Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively
Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of tasks for both self and team to meet business requirements and deadlines
Strong track record of building and maintaining solid relationships with both internal and external customers and vendors
Excellent computer skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and the ability to work with data efficiently and effectively; strong analytics skills
Bachelor's degree or Master’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, or Business Administration a plus
4-6 years of experience in a digital marketing, ecommerce or related field
Demonstrated ability to lead digital marketing and technology projects, working with cross-functional teams
Familiarity with HTML, Photoshop or other web/graphic design experience
Experience with a site redesign, usability, and/or UX/UI related project(s)
Experience in a project management role
Experience with CRM systems, lead generation and nurturing or marketing automation
Experience with paid search, digital media/network advertising, ecommerce
